EretiQ 2013 Dosaggio Zero, the innovative Franciacorta wine I invented, designed and created for those curious people who love unconventional wine tastings. Since 1997, when I arrived in Franciacorta, I have imagined this wine and I have kept it in mind, waiting for the right moment to create it. The name ERETIQ summarizes the essence of my idea: Quadra’s heresy, that is the risk of creating a Franciacorta wine without its foundation, Chardonnay. Thus, in 2009 I realised my dream by combining the two Pinots, Blanc – first and foremost – with Noir and so I gave rise to an unconventional and unseen expression of Franciacorta wine. It is unconventional in its conception and creation but especially in its chemical composition, which shows a subtle fusion of floral and white fruit flavours with hints of small red fruits. A delicate structure balances the strong acidity, due to the fact that no dosage liqueur is added. Heretic and pure! The risk is highlighted also by the colour of the bottle, enhancing purple.

Our QSATEN, is essence and expression of Franciacorta terroir, made exclusively from white skinned grape varieties and with a lower pressure (4,5 atmospheres instead of 6) than our other Franciacorta wines.
The cuvee is a blend of Chardonnay, partly fermented in oak barrels, and Pinot Blanc. This varietal composition together with the lower pressure give our Saten its unique «creamy» texture.

Our Brut - QBLACK - is the representative cuvee of our winery, our "flagship". Made from a blend of our three grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc: all our varieties are represented in this wine. It is the result of an alchemical process in which it gives a part of itself to all of our Franciacorta wines and then gently brings back together the selected wines of every vintage. The base wines are mainly fermented and pre-aged in steel tanks and partially in barrels and after the tirage they remain in the bottle over 40 months.

It has evolved from a cuvee made from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay fermented in stainless steel tanks and barrels. After the tirage our wine ages over 54 months before being disgorged. Pinot Noir, grown on our moraine hills, brings body and depth to this wine as well as its typical small red fruits flavour, while Chardonnay gives this wine richness and roundness.

Our QUVÉE 72 EXTRA BRUT Riserva 2012, closes our Quadra sparkling wine range. With 2004 vintage, the «Q» series starts and the letter Q symbolises the greatest expression of our creativity. Our vintage QUVEE, the first of the Q series, is numbered after the serial number of the «cuvee» identifying, in Quadra’s history, the 2004 vintage brut. The cuvee is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grape varieties, both produced from over 15 year-old vineyards and a part of them is fermented and aged in barrels.

My wine, my Journey, my Dream.
To me the journey represents a dream, a purpose, a desire, a destination to reach. It has always been that way since I was a kid and imagined myself as a Native American in the prairies. Later, when I met the Navajo tribe, I became familiar with those places and names which came out from my imagination and first readings.
I was really fascinated by Native Americans and especially by the Navajo tribe, who inspired me. Their culture deeply influenced me as well as their vision of our planet as a greater good that we are supposed to love, respect, protect in order to hand it down to the next generations. I have always admired their way of preserving the balance of and with the nature and I realised that their way of being, the today «eco-» way of life, was the real essence of their lifestyle and not just a symbolic banner.
