Vineyards are natural routes that bring life-blood to our Franciacorta. The interpretation that each parcel yields to the vine is unique and is inextricably linked to the micro climate that is generated and the composition of the soil. The Morenic amphitheatre and the climate generated by Lake Iseo help the chorus of this interpretation by restoring to the grapes a strong and unique personality. The vineyards of Quadra extend over 20 hectares well distributed in the central/western part of Franciacorta, from north to south. The plants began in the 90’s in Marzaghette in Adro and in the early 2000’s there are 5 other very important sites that range from Cologne (winery headquarters) to Provaglio d’Iseo, Adro, Erbusco and Corte Franca. The main grape variety is certainly constituted by the aristocratic Chardonnay that occupies 60%, the Pinot Noir destined to the hilly parcels on moraine deposits occupies 20%. With the enhancement of Pinot Blanc Quadra led to the important percentage of 20% identifying three environments strongly complementary to each other. The last additional vine, Erbamat, was placed in the new experimental vineyard above the new cellar. The team of the winery is responsible for 98% of the processing in the field following the rhythm of the seasons having the opportunity to recognize and decipher the qualities related to the vintage in the various plots.
